V roce 2025 se hrálo 11. listopadu a zapojilo se 33 soutěžících sdružených do 9 týmů.

Týmová soutěž

Tentokrát byla hned tři družstva z devíti pouze tříčlenná, čemuž se mírně přizpůsobila i pravidla pro hodnocení týmové soutěže. Každý tým odházel dvě série hodů. Pro čtyřčlenná družstva se v každé sérii započítaly výsledky tří nejlepších hráčů. Pro tříčlenná se z celkově šesti dosažených výsledků škrtnul ten nejhorší. Protože se pak započítalo jen pět výsledků místo šesti, součet se přenásobil koeficientem 1,2. Jinými slovy, nejhorší výsledek se nahradil průměrem z pěti zbývajících.

Tradiční tým Kájo HOP! v posledních letech nastupoval bez své velitelky, která byla vázána mateřskými povinnostmi. Letos se však Kája do sestavy vrátila a na její počest tým zvítězil ve velkém stylu. Překonal přitom svůj 9 let starý rekord soutěže družstev, který měl hodnotu 780 bodů (což znamená průměrný nához 130 bodů). Přestože tento výkon již léta odolával, letos byl pokořen rovnou o 81 bodů. Jak se to mohlo podařit? Jde o součet výkonů 161, 145 a 126 v první sérii a 157, 148 a 124 ve druhé sérii. Průměr těchto výkonů je 143,5. Neuvěřitelné! Nához 161 patřil Honzovi Vorlovi a byl nejlepším výkonem kvalifikace.

Na dosah ke starému rekordu se přiblížil i loňský vítěz - tým XXXL+M, který byl také čtyřčlenný a celkově získal 778 bodů. Díky novému pravidlu ho však předstihl tříčlenný tým rodiny Zemanovy, o kterém se organizátor teprve dodatečně dověděl, že si zvolil název Tři mušketýři. Jedná se o třígenerační tým tvořený Josefem, Jenem a Petrem. V první sérii všechny šokoval kombinací náhozů 159, 156 a 123 (od nejstaršího člena k nejmladšímu). Tento tým tedy po první sérii jasně vedl, ale ve druhé došlo k útlumu a při prostém součtu všech šesti výkonů by výsledek byl 756 bodů. Nicméně podle nového pravidla se nejhorší výkon 104 nahradil průměrem ostatních. Po této korekci se Tři mušketýři se 782 body dostali na stříbrnou příčku a odsunuli XXXL+M na bronzovou.

Další tradiční tým Milan a tři kuželky až do loňského roku hrál vždy ve stejném složení, ale letos poprvé nastoupil bez Karla Mikeše. Ve svém středu nadšeně uvítal nejmladší účastnici turnaje, Marušku Sýkorovou, která bojovala statečně a i po skončení hodnocené části turnaje dál pilně trénovala na uvolněné dráze. Její čas jistě ještě přijde, ale letos zůstali M+3K pod stupni vítězů. Za nimi se umístilo Žralokolonádo 2, tedy loni utvořený tým v mírně obměněné sestavě, ale s prakticky stejným výkonem jako před rokem (640 místo 641). Šestý byl Anakin, který házel ve třech, ale korekce z prostého součtu 590 na upravených 623 jeho pořadí nijak nezměnila. Totéž platí i pro další tříčlenný tým MaCuDa. Soutěž svou účastí obohatily i česko-italské týmy Squadra cezzura a To není mapa. Velmi sympatickým rysem letošního turnaje bylo zastoupení různých zemí (ČR, Itálie, Čína) i generací. Kromě již zmíněného rodinného týmu se zapojily dvě dvojice matka s dcerou a jedna otec se synem. Ondra Bittnar měl letos bohužel večerní přednášku a přišel se opožděně jen podívat na svého otce Petra, který soutěžil za přihlížení dědečka Zdeňka.

Body v závorce jsou bonusové body pro tříčlenné týmy, které odpovídají náhradě nejhoršího výsledku průměrem z ostatních pěti.

Soutěž jednotlivců

Pro každého účastníka soutěže družstev se lepší z jeho dvou sérií započítávala jako výkon do kvalifikace jednotlivců. Přestože obecně byla úroveň letošní soutěže velmi vysoká, k postupu tentokrát stačilo 107 bodů (loni bylo potřeba 123). Nejlepšími výkony se kvalifikovali Vorlas (161), Josef Zeman (159) a Ondra Zobal (157), čtvrtým nasazeným se stal Honza Zeman (156). Mimo hru překvapivě zůstal Petr Havlásek, který v loňském semifinále stanovil rekord jednotlivců na 199 bodů.

Šestnáct nejlepších kvalifikantů bylo podle výkonů rozřazeno do čtyř čtvrtfinálových skupin, které odházely jednu sérii. V zájmu urychlení průběhu se letos hrálo podle upraveného systému bez semifinále. Do pětičlenného finále postupovali vítězové skupin a ze zbylých čtvrtfinalistů navíc ten s nejvyšším náhozem. Ukázalo se, že tento poněkud krutý systém přispívá k dramatičnosti soutěže a závěrečné boje proběhly za velkého zájmu diváků.

V první skupině se Vorlasovi nepodařilo navázat na skvělý výkon z kvalifikace a na jeho úkor se do finále dostal Milan. V souběžně hrané druhé skupině byla situace zpočátku vyrovnaná. Nejlepší start měl Josef Zeman a po šestém kole vedl Honza Stránský s mírným náskokem na Pavla Reitermana. Pak se ale Pavel vzepjal k fantastickému závěru (spare, čtyři striky za sebou a osmička) a výkonem 191 zcela odletěl svým konkurentům. Druhé místo ve skupině velmi těsně uhájil Honza Stránský, ale jak se později ukázalo, k postupu to nestačilo.

Předčasným vrcholem večera se stal výkon Richarda ve třetí skupině. Poprvé v historii jsme na MK viděli dvoustovkový nához, takže padl i loňský rekord Petra Havláska. Richard zahájil devítkou, ale pak následovalo šest striků za sebou, což samozřejmě postupně dostalo publikum do varu. Přestože postup už měl Richard jednoznačně zajištěn, udržel pevné nervy a zakončil svou sérii sparem, devítkou, sparem a devítkou, což ve výsledku dalo neuvěřitelných 225 bodů. I další účastníci tohoto čtvrtfinále zahráli výborně a druhé místo s náhozem 142 vyneslo Ondrovi Zobalovi postup do finále. Na paty mu šlapali Petr Bittnar (135) a Jirka Němeček (125).

V poslední čtvrtfinálové skupině se sešli otec a syn Zemanovi s bývalými vítězi Bořkem a Alešem. Do šestého kola měl mírně navrch Bořek, ale jeho naděje ukončila v posledním kole osmička, zatímco Aleš se závěrečným sparem a osmičkou dostal na 146 bodů. Vzhledem ke skvělému výkonu Ondry ve vedlejší skupině tentokrát Bořkových 130 na postup nestačilo.

Na rozdíl od předchozích let mělo i finále vynikající úroveň, ovšem zopakování dvoustovky se samozřejmě čekat nedalo. Favoritem byl čerstvý rekordman Richard, který šel skutečně od začátku do vedení, ale v závěsu se drželi Aleš a Pavel Reiterman. Do sedmého kola Richard hodil čtyři striky, vytvořil si určitý náskok a zdálo se, že směřuje k vítězství. Pak se však karta obrátila, v posledních třech kolech hodil Aleš dva striky a spare a zakončil prémiovým strikem, což mu přineslo celkově 182 bodů. Richard už předvedl jen jeden spare a s výsledkem 161 bodů obsadil druhou příčku, zatímco Pavel se 146 body skončil třetí. Na stupních vítězů se tak objevili tři borci, kteří už v minulosti celý turnaj vyhráli. Aleš byl historicky prvním vítězem a po 10 letech se vrátil na nejvyšší stupínek. Zároveň jsou spolu s Richardem jediní dva, kterým se podařilo trofej získat dvakrát. A to navíc i letos čtvrtý Ondra je také bývalým šampionem. Přestože bowling je zrádný sport a pravidla vyřazovací soutěže letos byla obzvlášť krutá, zdá se, že naši nejlepší kuželkáři dlouhodobě předvádějí skvělé výkony. Letošní finále bylo skutečně špičkové, o čemž svědčí i to, že všech pět finalistů předvedlo výkon, který by loni stačil na vítězství.

Team competition (translated with DeepL.com, free version)

This time, three of the nine teams had only three members, which slightly changed the rules for evaluating the team competition. Each team threw two series of throws. For four-member teams, the results of the three best players were counted in each series. For three-member teams, the worst result out of a total of six was discarded. Since only five results were counted instead of six, the total was multiplied by a coefficient of 1.2. In other words, the worst result was replaced by the average of the remaining five.

In recent years, the traditional Kájo HOP! team had been competing without its captain, who was tied up with maternal duties. This year, however, Kája returned to the lineup and the team won in style in her honor. In doing so, they broke their 9-year-old team competition record of 780 points (an average score of 130 points). Although this performance had stood for years, this year it was broken by 81 points. How was this possible? It is the sum of 161, 145, and 126 in the first series and 157, 148, and 124 in the second series. The average of these performances is 143.5. Incredible! The 161 score belonged to Honza Vorel and was the best performance in the qualification.

The former record was nearly matched by last year's winner, the four-person team XXXL+M, who earned 778 points. However, thanks to the new rule, he was surpassed by the three-person team of the Zeman family, which the organizer only learned about later and which had chosen the name "The Three Musketeers." This three-generation team is made up of Josef, Jan, and Petr. In the first series, they shocked everyone with a combination of throws of 159, 156, and 123 (from the oldest to the youngest member). This team clearly led after the first series, but in the second, they slowed down, and with a simple sum of all six performances, the result would be 756 points. However, according to the new rule, the worst performance of 104 was replaced by the average of the others. After this correction, The Three Musketeers with 782 points took second place and pushed XXXL+M to third.

Another traditional team, Milan and Three Skittles, had always played with the same lineup until last year, but this year they competed without Karel Mikeš for the first time. They enthusiastically welcomed the youngest participant in the tournament, Maruška Sýkorová, who fought bravely and continued to train diligently on the open lane even after the end of the tournament. Her time will surely come, but this year M+3K remained below the winners' podium. Behind them was Žralokolonádo 2, a team formed last year with a slightly modified lineup, but with virtually the same performance as a year ago (640 instead of 641). Anakin came in sixth, throwing in a team of three, but the correction from a simple sum of 590 to an adjusted 623 did not change their ranking. The same applies to another three-member team, MaCuDa. The Czech-Italian teams Squadra cezzura and To není mapa also enriched the competition with their participation. A very nice feature of this year's tournament was the representation of different countries (Czechia, Italy, China) and generations. In addition to the aforementioned family team, two mother-daughter pairs and one father-son pair took part. Unfortunately, Ondra Bittnar had an evening lecture this year and arrived late just to see his father Petr, who was competing under the watchful eye of his grandfather Zdeněk.

It turned out that this somewhat cruel system contributed to the drama of the competition, and the final battles took place amid great interest from the spectators.

In the first group, Vorlas failed to build on his excellent performance in the qualifiers, and Milan advanced to the finals at his expense. In the second group, which was played simultaneously, the situation was initially even. Josef Zeman had the best start, and after the sixth round, Honza Stránský led with a slight advantage over Pavel Reiterman. But then Pavel rallied to a fantastic finish (spare, 4 strikes in a row and 8) and completely outclassed his competitors with a score of 191. Honza Stránský narrowly defended second place in the group, but as it turned out later, it was not enough to advance.

Richard's performance in the third group was the early highlight of the evening. For the first time in history, we saw a 200-point performance at MK, breaking last year's record set by Petr Havlásek. Richard started with a nine, but then followed with six strikes in a row, which naturally got the audience excited. Although Richard had already secured his place in the next round, he kept his cool and finished his series with a spare, a nine, a spare, and another nine, resulting in an incredible 225 points. The other participants in this quarterfinal also played excellently, and Ondra Zobal's second place with a score of 142 earned him a place in the final. He was closely followed by Petr Bittnar (135) and Jirka Němeček (125).

The last quarterfinal group brought together father and son Zeman with former winners Bořek and Aleš. Bořek had a slight advantage until the sixth round, but his hopes were dashed in the last round with an eight, while Aleš scored 146 points with a final spare and an eight. Given Ondra's excellent performance in the other group, Bořek's 130 was not enough to advance this time.

Unlike previous years, the final was also of an excellent standard, but of course, a repeat of the 200 points was not to be expected. The favorite was record holder Richard, who took the lead right from the start, but Aleš and Pavel Reiterman were close behind. By the seventh round, Richard had thrown four strikes, creating a certain lead, and it seemed that he was heading for victory. However, the tables turned in the last three rounds, with Aleš throwing two strikes and a spare and finishing with a bonus strike, which earned him a total of 182 points. Richard only managed one spare and finished second with 161 points, while Pavel finished third with 146 points. The podium was thus occupied by three players who had all won the tournament in the past. Aleš was the first winner in history and returned to the top step of the podium after 10 years. Together with Richard, they are the only two players to have won the trophy twice. In addition, Ondra, who finished fourth this year, is also a former champion. Although bowling is a tricky sport and the rules of the knockout competition were particularly harsh this year, it seems that our best bowlers are performing well in the long term. This year's final was truly top-notch, as evidenced by the fact that all five finalists performed at a level that would have been enough to win last year.
