The parallel performance of 3D mesh generator has been presented. Altogether six different meshes, two for each of three different objects, have been generated using up to 8 processors of IBM SP2 machine and up to 15 processors of Transtech Paramid machine. Although significant speedup has been achieved on both platforms the accurate comparison is not possible in most cases because the exact speedup on Paramid machine is not available for larger problems. Nevertheless, the speedup profiles on SP2 and Paramid machines are very similar for all of the tested examples. The only significant difference observed is the number of processor for which the speedup curve becomes saturated. While SP2 machine seems to be more efficient for smaller number of processor with the saturation of speedup curve occurring relatively suddenly the Paramid machine enables to scale the code up to significantly larger number of processors (although at considerably reduced level of parallelism). This can be explained by different computation to communication ratios on both platforms because of different CPU and communication performance.
