Indirect Triangulation of 3D Surfaces

In this section, an indirect approach based on the anisotropic meshing of the parametric space is presented. There are a plenty of parametric representations of 3D surfaces [73] that can be generally subjected to the indirect discretization. However, the approach itself will be demonstrated only on rational Bezier surfaces, which are from the family of tensor product polynomial surfaces. They are easy to manipulate while being general enough to represent exactly quadrics (by entities starting with the quadratic degree).
