Abstract:

The recent progress in network communications brings in the new opportunities for enhancement of teaching and learning processes via Word Wide Web (WWW). This changes the nature of teaching practice in both quantitative and qualitative manner. The new methods support the individual and creative work of students dispensing teachers from tedious work and allowing them to concentrate on conceptual problems and issues. With respect to these new trends, a WWW-based tool for automatic homework evaluation has been developed and verified on the courses of Structural Mechanics.
