Description:

Behavior of basic viscoelastic models.

What can be modified:

• model itself,
• type of loading - force, strain rate or strain control,
• prescribed value (force, strain rate, strain).

Comments:

• use ▶/|| button to play/pause the simulation (the simulation is paused by default),
• when changing the model, the simulation is reset,
• when changing the control, the simulation is paused (press ▶ button to continue),
• when moving slider not belonging to current control, the simulation is paused and the control is changed.
• to preserve reasonable graphic representation, the extreme values of strain are artificially constrained. If such extreme strain value is reached, the strain is stopped (regardless used control).

Notice:

• stress in the spring depends only on current strain (and vice versa),
• stress in the dashpot depends only on current strain rate (not at all on the strain itself),
• stress of combined models depends in general on strain, strain rate and history of loading,
• in general, strain may be nonzero and/or changing even if stress is zero,
• in general, stress may be nonzero and/or changing even if strain is zero,
