Ncorr_post: DIC Post-Processing Tool

Ncorr_post is an open source post-processing MATLAB application tailored for processing, visualization and export of the data provided by Ncorr Digital Image Correlation (DIC) software, which has been developed by Justin Blaber and Antonia Antoniou at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

The effort and guidance of the Ncorr authors in the form of user-friendly open source software is gratefully acknowledged, as well as the financial support by the grant GA13-15175S, provided by the Czech Science Foundation.

The program was developed to provide:

• a user-friendly GUI to process DIC results provided by open source 2D-DIC MATLAB software Ncorr,
• scaling of displacements from pixels to physical units,
• bulk export of images with predefined properties and scaling,
• export of videos capturing strain or displacement development,
• placement of virtual extensometers and recording of relative displacements, and
• representation of magnitude and direction principal by means of arrow indicators.
