Instructions for axisymmetric problem with hypoplasticity model for unsaturated solis



All problems has simple geometry involving only one element 1x1 m with axis of symmetry in vertical direction at the origin of coordinate sytem x-y. Therefor input files were prepared directly without the preprocesor usage.

Solution of the problems:

  1. Compile the MEFEL in the directory SIFEL/MEFEL/SRC by statement make.
  2. Copy the executable file mefel from the directory SIFEL/MEFEL/SRC/_DBG to the working one.
  3. Solve required problem by one of the following commands:
    mefel drained.in -kwd=1
    mefel constvolume.in -kwd=1
    mefel constsig_unsat.in -kwd=1

Results

Should be noted that in the below resulting diagrams, the strains and streses are given in the soil mechanics convention (pressure is positive) while the continuum mechanics convention (pressure is negative) is used in the native MEFEL results.
